Band 6 Locum Paediatric Occupational Therapist – Tyneside
JustOT is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to take on an exciting locum opportunity based in Tyneside.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and skilled Paediatric OT to join a team supporting children and young people with a range of complex needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive occupational therapy assessments for children and young people with complex needs.
- Plan and deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support functional development and independence.
- Apply specialist knowledge of child development to inform assessment and treatment.
- Identify and address safeguarding concerns, ensuring the welfare of children remains a priority.
- Work collaboratively with families, carers and the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT).
- Provide specialist advice and recommendations to support children's participation in everyday activities.
Essential Requirements:
- HCPC registration.
- Previous paediatric occupational therapy experience.
- Experience completing complex assessments and delivering therapeutic interventions.
- Strong knowledge of child development and safeguarding.
- Experience working effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
