Locum Band 6 Orthopaedic / Surgical Occupational Therapist – South West London
JustOT is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a busy orthopaedic and surgical team based in South West London.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced OT with a background in acute hospital settings, looking to take on a rewarding locum position within a supportive multidisciplinary team.
The Role:
- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessments and interventions for patients across orthopaedic and surgical wards.
- Assess patients' functional abilities and identify appropriate rehabilitation needs.
- Support safe and timely hospital discharges.
- Complete equipment assessments and arrange necessary onward referrals.
- Work closely with the wider MDT to deliver effective, patient-centred care.
- Manage a varied acute caseload, prioritising patients according to clinical need.
Requirements:
- HCPC registration.
- Previous acute hospital experience.
- Experience working within orthopaedic and/or surgical settings.
- Confident completing functional assessments and discharge planning.
- Strong communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
- Up to 30 hours pw
