Locum Band 6 Acute Occupational Therapist – East Midlands

JustOT is currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Acute Occupational Therapist to join a team in the East Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an OT with strong acute NHS experience who can confidently manage a varied caseload, make sound clinical decisions and deliver patient-centred rehabilitation in a busy hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete comprehensive occupational therapy assessments and deliver appropriate interventions for acute patients.
• Use strong clinical reasoning and decision-making skills to support patient recovery and safe discharge planning.
• Effectively prioritise workloads in a fast-paced acute setting.
• Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and engage in reflective practice.
• Provide empathetic, patient-centred care tailored to individual needs.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience working as an Occupational Therapist within an acute NHS setting.
• Strong clinical decision-making and workload prioritisation skills.
• Excellent communication and MDT working abilities.
• A reflective, compassionate and patient-focused approach.
• HCPC registration.
