B6 Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist – East London
JustOT are recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join a specialist service supporting individuals experiencing homelessness, rough sleeping and housing instability.
The Role:
- Manage a caseload of service users with severe and enduring mental health needs.
- Complete specialist OT assessments covering occupational performance, ADLs, cognition, executive functioning, sensory needs and environmental barriers.
- Develop and deliver person-centred, trauma-informed and recovery-focused OT interventions.
- Support independence, wellbeing, occupational participation and community integration.
- Consider the impact of mental illness, trauma, substance misuse, physical health and social exclusion on daily functioning.
- Work closely with the wider MDT and partner services.
Requirements:
- HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
- Significant experience working in community mental health.
- Experience managing a caseload of individuals with severe and enduring mental illness.
- Experience supporting people experiencing rough sleeping, homelessness or housing instability.
- RiO knowledge is essential.
- Strong assessment, intervention and MDT working skills.
