Occupational Therapist Adult Social Care
Submit CVWe are looking for an Occupational Therapist to effectively contribute to the delivery of the relevant strategic and service objectives set out in the annual service plan and Council’s Strategy. To provide administrative and advisory functions to ensure the smooth operation of the service.
• To work within the West Locality Adult Social Care team with people who are over eighteen, undertaking person centred assessments with them to enable them to live safely in the community. To support people to maximise their strengths and abilities and empower them to remain as independent as possible.
•To support carers to continue in their caring role for as long as they wish or choose to.
•To take a strengths-based approach which prevents, reduces or delays the need for care and support.
•To provide Occupational Therapy (OT) advice to other team members and undertake supervisory responsibilities, as directed by the Team Leader.
•To maintain robust records in line with HCPC and professional body recommendations
•To understand and apply relevant legislation including the Care Act 2014, Safeguarding, Mental Capacity, DOLs, CHC
