Band 6 Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist – Locum

JustOT are recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join a community mental health team in West London.

The successful candidate will support the team with managing a caseload of mental health patients, delivering person-centred OT assessments and interventions. You will also contribute to Unplanned Contact (Duty), providing timely support to patients requiring additional or urgent input.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage a community mental health caseload.
• Complete OT assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to promote recovery, independence and meaningful occupation.
• Support the Unplanned Contact/Duty function.
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Liaise with patients, families, carers and other professionals.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation.

Requirements:

• HCPC registration.
• Occupational Therapy degree.
• Previous community mental health OT experience.
• Experience managing a mental health caseload.
• Strong communication, clinical reasoning and MDT working skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities.
