Our client is looking for an experienced Outpatient Manager to lead the Outpatient Service within their hospital. The Outpatients Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality and efficient outpatient services, delivering key quality, performance and financial plans, and driving service enhancements.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead, manage and develop the provision of outpatients.
• Manage the operational delivery of outpatients against key performance indicators, ensuring the efficient running of the department.
• Provide and receive patient information, ensuring that all patient information is provided, received and recorded in accordance with the Data Protection Act and company policies.
• Develop own knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of others.
• Promote best practice in health & safety and security.
• Promote equality, diversity and patients' rights.
• Apply correct use of technology.
• Seek and employ innovative methods of improving service delivery in line with the 5 CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE), always aiming to achieve Good and Outstanding ratings.
• Adhere to all relevant healthcare standards and manage issues of governance and risk effectively.
• Ensure that effective systems are in place to manage stock in accordance with financial instructions, efficient utilisation and intelligent ordering, while working closely with the Finance Director to ensure compliance.
• Ensure all audits and reviews of departmental performance are undertaken and implement action plans in response to findings.
• Provide clinical leadership in the development of new services.
• Promote and maintain close working relationships with external organisations to ensure standardisation and sharing of best practice.
• Ensure that Clinical Governance and risk management are embedded within daily practice.
• Provide and receive patient information, ensuring compliance with the Data Protection Act and company policies.
• Undertake human resource activities for all members of the team.
• Carry out any other duties that reasonably fall within the general nature and level of responsibility of the post.
Requirements
• Relevant Diploma or Degree.
• NMC Registration.
• Previous strong experience in an outpatient department at a senior level.
• Experience of working unsupervised.
• Experience of leading a team.
• Ability to manage, motivate, support, develop and lead a department.
• Focus on positive patient and user experience.
• Ability to work cohesively across clinical teams.
• Competent across a range of clinical management and leadership skills.
• Performance monitoring and reporting capabilities.
• Knowledge of appropriate standards and external bodies, such as the Care Quality Commission.
• Auditing skills across clinical standards and departments.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
