Locum Band 7 Community Occupational Therapist – Sussex

JUSTOT are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Community Occupational Therapist to join a team in Sussex on a locum basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Community OT looking for a new challenge, working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team and managing a varied and complex community caseload.

The Role

• Provide high-quality occupational therapy assessment and intervention within the community.
• Manage a varied caseload, using strong clinical reasoning and autonomous decision-making.
• Complete functional assessments and develop individualised treatment and rehabilitation plans.
• Support patients to maximise independence and remain safely within their own homes.
• Work closely with the wider MDT, health and social care professionals.
• Provide advice regarding equipment, adaptations and discharge planning where required.

Requirements

HCPC registration.

• Degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Significant NHS Community OT experience.
• Previous Band 7 or equivalent experience.
• Excellent clinical reasoning and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage a complex caseload.

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle desirable/essential depending on service requirements.
