Band 5 Locum Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist – Lancashire

JustOT are currently recruiting for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join a well-established Community Mental Health Team in Lancashire.

This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist looking to develop their skills within a supportive multidisciplinary team. Working alongside a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will manage your own OT-specific caseload and provide specialist assessment and intervention to adults with complex mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage an occupational therapy-specific caseload within the community mental health service.
• Complete specialist occupational therapy assessments, formulations and interventions.
• Support service users with complex occupational, functional and vocational needs.
• Plan and facilitate therapeutic group programmes.
• Provide an occupational therapy perspective within a collaborative multidisciplinary team.
• Work closely with senior OT colleagues to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

Requirements:

• HCPC registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working within mental health services is desirable.
• Strong assessment, communication and clinical reasoning skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
