Band 7 Community Locum Occupational Therapist – Sussex

JustOT is recruiting for an experienced Band 7 Community Occupational Therapist to join a dedicated community team in Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled OT looking for a rewarding locum role where you can make a real difference to people’s independence and quality of life within their own homes and communities.

As a Band 7 Community OT, you will be responsible for managing a complex caseload, completing specialist assessments, and providing high-quality interventions to support service users in achieving their goals. You will work collaboratively with a range of health and social care professionals, using your clinical expertise to deliver person-centred care.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing a varied community caseload with complex needs
• Completing holistic occupational therapy assessments
• Recommending and implementing appropriate equipment, adaptations, and interventions
• Supporting discharge planning and promoting independence at home
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
• Providing clinical expertise and guidance within the service

Requirements:

• HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
• Significant post-registration experience within community OT services
• Strong experience managing complex cases independently
• Excellent communication, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively within a wider team
