Locum Wheelchair Therapist – Band 6 | Sussex
JustOT is recruiting for a Band 6 Locum Wheelchair Therapist to join a specialist wheelchair service based in Sussex.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Occupational Therapist to support the assessment, provision, and review of wheelchair and specialist seating needs for service users across the region.
Role details:
- Job Title: Band 6 Locum Wheelchair Therapist
- Location: Sussex
- Contract: Locum
- Hours: Full-time (hours negotiable)
- Start Date: ASAP (subject to availability)
Key responsibilities:
- Carry out comprehensive wheelchair and postural management assessments
- Provide specialist clinical advice and recommendations regarding wheelchair provision
- Work collaboratively with service users, carers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Complete clinical documentation and maintain high standards of care
- Support safe and effective wheelchair solutions tailored to individual needs
Requirements:
- HCPC registration as an Occupational Therapist
- Previous experience working within a wheelchair service or specialist seating environment
- Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
