Locum Crisis Practitioner

JustOT is currently recruiting for an experienced Locum OT/Crisis Practitioner to join a dedicated and dynamic Crisis Team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled practitioner with experience in crisis assessment and community-based mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake telephone triage for complex cases, providing timely clinical assessment and risk management.
• Support junior members of the team with clinical decision-making and guidance.
• Carry out rapid response crisis assessments within the community.
• Deliver both telephone and face-to-face assessments, ensuring person-centred, safe, and effective care.
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate appropriate interventions and care planning.

Requirements:

• Relevant professional qualification and current registration (where applicable).
• Previous experience working within a Crisis Team or urgent mental health service.
• Strong assessment, risk management, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff is desirable.
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a multidisciplinary team.
