JustOT are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist at band 7 level specialising in Paediatric for a locum vacancy in London.

The pay for this position is £25-£30 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.

Job Description: 

• OT is required for 1 day a week from Sept 2026

• The caseload includes 65 children and there is a 2 tier model: Enhanced Provision and Targeted Mainstream.

• The enhanced provision includes ASD, non verbal, SEMH and DLD. All pupils have EHCPs and there is also a focus on AAC (communication boards, system) and pre-verbal communication.

• The mainstream provision has approximately 339 pupils in the school, about 30 pupils identified with SEN and about 54% SEN noted. Around 30 children accessing resource base. Needs include speech, language and communication needs, DLD.

• Current approaches and practice includes: colourful semantics, strong consistency across environment and well regulated students. SEN MAC support with AAC equipment and available to train staff. Focus areas include AAC support, communication needs, sensory integration needs, global development delay support and DLD.

• There are support targets and programmes of therapy in mainstream, direct therapy including 1:1 and small groups, guidance and support to staff, environmental support with daily communication opportunities.

• In the enhanced provision the focus areas are guidance and support to staff, monitoring, target setting, environmental support and strategies, opportunities to use AAC.
