Nursing Manager - Outpatients
Salary: Up to £52,500 (DOE)
Location: Horley, West Sussex
Hours: Permanent, Full-time

Our client is looking for an experienced Outpatients Manager to lead the Outpatient Service within their hospital. The Outpatients Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality and efficient outpatient services, achieving key quality, performance and financial objectives, and driving service enhancements.
The hospital provides world-class care and is part of a highly respected private healthcare group. With a full multidisciplinary medical team, they specialise in a wide range of treatments tailored to individual patient needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Lead, manage and develop the outpatient service.
• Manage the operational delivery of outpatient services against key performance indicators, ensuring the efficient running of the department.
• Provide and receive patient information, ensuring all information is provided, received and recorded in accordance with the Data Protection Act and company policies.
• Develop own knowledge and skills and contribute to the development of others.
• Promote best practice in health & safety and security.
• Promote equality, diversity and patient rights.
• Ensure the correct use of technology.
• Seek and implement innovative methods of improving service delivery in line with the 5 CQC Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE), always aiming to achieve Good and Outstanding ratings.
• Adhere to all relevant healthcare standards and effectively manage governance and risk issues.
• Ensure effective stock management systems are in place in line with financial procedures and work closely with the Finance Director to maintain compliance.
• Ensure all audits and departmental reviews are completed and implement action plans where required.
• Provide clinical leadership in the development of new services.
• Maintain strong working relationships with external organisations to encourage standardisation and the sharing of best practice.
• Ensure Clinical Governance and risk management are embedded within daily practice.
• Undertake HR responsibilities for all members of the team.
• Carry out any other duties appropriate to the level and nature of the role.
Requirements
• Relevant Diploma or Degree.
• NMC Registration.
• Previous experience within an outpatient department at a senior level.
• Experience of working independently.
• Experience of leading and managing teams.
• Ability to motivate, support, develop and lead a department.
• Strong focus on positive patient and user experience.
• Ability to work collaboratively across clinical teams.
• Competent across a range of clinical management and leadership skills.
• Performance monitoring and reporting capabilities.
• Knowledge of relevant healthcare standards and regulatory bodies, including the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
• Clinical auditing skills.
• Ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
