We are seeking a Band 6 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to join our growing team in Hampshire.

We support children and young people aged 2–25 years, primarily neurodiverse clients including autism, sensory processing needs, learning disabilities, and co-occurring conditions. Work is delivered across schools, homes, clinics, and occasionally online.

Key Responsibilities

  • OT assessments in community and clinic settings
  • Report writing, treatment planning, and goal setting
  • Intervention delivery and clinical OT input
  • High-quality clinical record keeping (RCOT & HCPC compliant)
  • Training and liaison with parents, carers, schools, and agencies
  • EHCP assessments and tribunal attendance when required
  • Supporting assistive technology use
  • Student supervision and ongoing CPD engagement
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures

Training, Support & Development

We provide a structured 3-month induction/probation period, with weekly supervision as a minimum. Supervision then moves to fortnightly or monthly depending on needs.

We follow the RCoT Pillars of Practice and use in-house competencies to track development, with a clear pathway for progression from Band 6 to Band 7 over time.

  • Monthly CPD sessions for all staff
  • Access to e-learning, external courses, and joint working opportunities
  • Additional specialist training (e.g. Sensory Integration, trauma & attachment)
  • Quarterly team social events
  • Annual student placements with Southampton, Bournemouth, and Winchester Universities

Requirements

  • BSc Occupational Therapy, HCPC registered, RCoT member
  • 2–4 years paediatric experience (schools or neurodiversity-focused settings)
  • Experience with assessment and intervention for ages 2–25
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and autonomy
  • IT proficiency (Microsoft Office) and GDPR knowledge
  • Driving licence and access to vehicle
  • Sensory integration training desirable but not essential
