JustOT are recruiting for an HCPC registered experienced Occupational Therapist to work with our well-respected client based in London.

Rate: £50 per hour
Working Pattern: Full time 36 hours per week
Location: London
Essential Requirements : OT with 2 years plus social services experience or community equivalent, such as rapid response.

Job Description:
To support the strategic direction of the service and anticipate changes influencing the services both internally and externally, evaluating risk and opportunities and putting appropriate plans into action.

To deliver high performing, cost effective services for Adults, Older People, their families and carers.

Leadership role in the development of a staff culture that ensures a professional, collaborative person-centred approach to activity and values strong partnership working and co-production.

Ensure that reasonable care is always taken for the health, safety and welfare of yourself and other persons, and to comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety within the service. To seek appropriate support as necessary.

To deliver key service and departmental performance targets whilst maintaining and improving quality

Along with the Head of Service to effectively manage salary and purchasing budgets

To be responsible for the leadership and delivery of efficient, effective, and safe services.
1.To oversee all relevant matters relating to Care Act delivery, and reablement functions working in partnership with colleagues across the Council, Trust, ICB and voluntary sector.
2.Develop and embed strengths-based approach to adult health and social care assessments in order overturn the deficit model and enable the service to empower Haringey citizens, service users and carers to develop resilience, in line with the well-being principles of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and other key adult legislation to delay and reduce the need for statutory intervention.
3.Uphold and further develop Haringey's commitment to continuous improvement of the service.
4.Lead on the development of service performance and quality improvement strategies
5.Develop and embed a model of service leadership that includes personal accountability, confidence in professional practice and pride in the service offer to citizens of Haringey.
6.Manage a team of managers (responsible for providing community/ hospital based social work/ care management) and be accountable for the performance management and the quality of work undertaken within the service.
7.Maintain excellent relationships with a wide group of key stakeholders, including people who use health services; their carers and families; local authority staff; independent sector providers; and local authority Members.
8.Develop and implement a mechanism for eliciting service users' and carers' views of the service to inform service improvement and development.
9.Lead on the production and ownership of the Adult Social Care Case Management Information strategy and ensure alignment to the Corporate Data Strategy
10.Maximise user involvement, consultation and feedback.
11.Triangulate service activities, performance, and financial data to clarify the value for money of individually commissioned services to service users, carers, staff and families.
12.Develop and embed results-based accountability (RBA) across the service to enable all staff to measure their own day to day performance in terms of key determinants including effort, service outputs and service user outcomes.
13.Develop and implement outcomes focused support planning and reviews to ensure that statutory resources are proportionately targeted, aimed at establishing a developmental / recovery model of support, which enables all parties to work towards service users achieving their goals and reducing their dependency on the state.
14.Work as part of the Adult Social Services Management Team to ensure appropriate governance structures and processes are in place to oversee the delivery of safe and effective services across Adult Social Services.
