JustOT are recruiting for an Occupational Therapist at band 7 level specialising in Paediatric for a locum vacancy in London.
The pay for this position is £24-£28 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
Job Summary:
1. To lead on the development and implementation of a high-quality Occupational Therapy service for children who are neurodivergent including those with Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and learning differences.
2. To act as a source of clinical expertise and advice on Occupational Therapy input for children with neurodiversity.
3. Supporting and upskilling health care professionals and colleagues working within external agencies on how to best meet the children and young peoples (CYP) needs in community settings.
4. To provide a specialised standard of occupational therapy assessment and intervention for a caseload of CYP with a wide range of developmental difficulties, many of whom may have complex or multiple pathologies, in line with department priorities and policies.
5. To work across health and social services settings combining the traditional roles of both health and social services occupational therapists as part of an integrated occupational therapy service for children, young people and their families.
6. To complete education health and care needs assessments (EHCNA) in line with the statutory requirements.
7. To work frequently as a lone practitioner across a variety of locations within the community, including clients' homes and nurseries, ensuring that intervention is responsive and sensitive to the social, cultural, linguistic and religious needs of a diverse population.
