We are currently working with a specialist school setting that is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (Band 6 or Band 7) to join their multidisciplinary team on a fixed-term basis (6-12 months).

About the Role:

• You will be working with children and young people in a paediatric, school-based setting, supporting pupils with SEN and complex needs, including PMLD.
• The role involves both direct intervention and collaborative working with education and care staff.
  

Key responsibilities include:

• Assessment, review, and recommendation of specialist equipment
• Development and review of moving and handling plans
• Delivery of PMLD-specific occupational therapy interventions
• Supporting functional independence and access to education
• Working closely with teaching staff, families, and wider professionals
  

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Occupational Therapist (Band 6 or 7)
• Paediatric experience essential
• Strong background in SEN and school settings
• Confident in assessment and intervention planning
• Experience with PMLD essential
• Knowledge of ASD and other diagnostic populations highly desirable
