Job Role:
- Seeking an enthusiastic Band 5/6 Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated, specialist therapy team.
- Band 5 therapists will enter a supported rotational post, designed to build confidence, breadth of experience, and core paediatric competencies through structured supervision and development across commissioned school settings.
- Band 6 therapists will be expected to work with greater autonomy, applying established clinical reasoning skills while continuing to develop specialist knowledge and professional judgement within commissioned services.
- You will support children and young people aged 5-16 across our specialist schools in Aylesbury , delivering high-quality assessment and intervention in areas such as sensory processing, emotional regulation, hand skills, motor development, and functional independence.
- You'll work as part of a small, supportive and professionally accountable therapy team, with close supervision and collaboration from senior therapists and specialist practitioners.
- While all post holders are supported by senior therapists, Band 6 clinicians will be expected to take a more active role in clinical decision-making and team contribution.
- If you have an interest in sensory integration, assistive technology, or functional skills development, our client would particularly welcome your application.
- Experience in schools or multidisciplinary teams is highly desirable, but not essential the right attitude and willingness to develop matter most.
Requirement:
- University degree in Occupational Therapy (E)
- Registered with the Health Professionals Council (E)
- Sensory Integration qualification - Bobath qualification (D)
- You may be newly qualified or already working at Band 5 or Band 6 level and are interested in developing your paediatric Occupational Therapy practice within specialist school settings.
- At Band 6 level, you will be confident in managing your own workload and contributing proactively to team discussions, while Band 5 clinicians will demonstrate readiness to learn, reflect, and develop within a structured rotational role.
