Our client has a rewarding Occupational Therapist Band 7 Permanent vacancy in South East London. This client offers a year-round residential rehabilitation and support service for 29 men and women aged between 18 and 65 years from diverse backgrounds.

Occupational Therapist Band 6 Permanent
Salary: £31,254 - £34,740 (may be able to negotiate depending on exp)
Location: Residential Units in 4 locations in SE London
Hours: 4 days week
Client Group: Neuro /brain injury/ or a history of substance misuse adult's residents (aged 18 to 65)

The purpose of the role is to engage with the service-user client base - predominantly adult residents (aged 18 to 65) with Acquired Brain Injury and / or a history of substance misuse by working alongside service users, members of the Therapy Team including Rehab Coaches (NRC), and other staff at High View Care
Job Role:
To assess complex patients with a range of diagnoses, identifying, developing and implementing appropriate specialist rehabilitation programmes based on clear clinical reasoning, based on highly specialist knowledge and experience of a range of procedures and conditions underpinned by sound theory and evidence-based practice.
To be skilled at assessing and interpreting a range of complex factors relating to the patient's condition which will impact on their ability to carry out their activities of daily living and assigned to a rehabilitation pathway, being responsible for leading and governing all aspects of the clients care depending on the pathway you have allocated them to
To support the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) in the interpretation of assessment results and recommendations based on clinical need as part of the larger rehabilitation process.
Work with internal and external therapists, stakeholders and professionals to collaborate in order to provide the best client centred care
Plan and maintain therapeutic interventions that enhance the wellbeing and/or rehabilitation of the clients
Maximise functional ability which has the desired outcome of reducing dependency on service providers and assisting vulnerable people to optimise their independence
Contribute to initial assessment and undertake periodic assessments with service users in order to develop and implement mutually agreed outcomes for issues resulting from their physical/psychological impairment. This includes all admission assessments, discharge assessments and MDT client transfer meetings
Plan programmes of therapeutic/re-enablement intervention with agreed goals and to ensure that the plan is carried through. monitoring the goals achieved within the team and be responsible for key rehabilitation KPI's lined to service used rehabilitation progression, wellbeing pathways and engagement.
Requirement:
* Relevant Occupational Therapist qualification/Educated to an appropriate level with degree and appropriate CPD
* HCPC Registered
* Neuro Experience
* Ability to interpret and develop person-centred support plans with relevance to the client group and strategic direction of Health & Social Care
* Excellent oral and written communication skills
* Effective interpersonal and influencing skills
* Computer literacy
