Locum of the Month - October 2015

Thursday 8th October 2015

Each month JustOT would like to recognise one of our locums for their personal achievement and commitment to the Occupational Therapy Service!

Name: Star

Profession: Occupational Therapy

Where are you from? London

Current Locum position? Occupational Therapy Assistant, Band 4

Personal achievements within the role? Learning the therapy techniques used on a Stroke Rehabilitation ward, and developing the skills and proficiency to continue on to a qualified band 5 role.

What do you enjoy about being a locum? The flexibility to work all over the country, and to work with different teams. It has been a real eye-opener to see how different trusts work and what makes a good team good!

Most memorable moment within your career? How sad everyone was when I was leaving! I was totally shocked by the effect I had had on my teams and the lovely clients I worked with in such a small amount of time.

If you were stranded on a desert island what 3 items would you take?
1.) A guitar
2.) A massive notepad to scribble away on
3.) Voice/video recordings from my family
