Sun Sets on London 2012

Monday 10th September 2012

Its official, the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games is over – marking the end of quite possibly one of the most remarkable sporting events that this country has seen!

The Paralympic Closing Ceremony officially ended the Games last night, in an incredible, yet bittersweet farewell to the sporting tradition that has inspired our nation. It was in no less than spectacular fashion that the ceremony came to a close, honourably celebrating the achievements of the Paralympic athletes and paying its dues to organisers, volunteers and supporters, who helped to make it all happen.

What next? Is the big question on everybody’s minds right now, exactly how will London cope without the Olympic and Paralympics in town? It seems its back to business as normal for the majority, the September term has started up again and we find ourselves back to work with nowhere to look but to winter!

If like us, you aren’t quite ready to say goodbye to the Games, don’t panic, you can watch the Victory Parade live today, or if your really lucky, catch a glimpse of the Team GB and ParalympicsGB athletes making there way around central London!
