People in Norfolk have been encouraged to discover the opportunities that arise from a career in occupational therapy.
Bosses at the University of East Anglia (UEA) claim that, while working in the profession is rewarding, people often know little about it, the Norwich Evening News reports.
They pointed out that people with occupational therapy roles are involved in physical, mental and social treatments.
In order to raise awareness of the profession, an open day is to take place next month in the Queen's Building at UEA where people will be able to get information.
Commenting on the opportunity, associate dean of health faculty admissions Dr Lucy O'Driscoll said: "This is a chance to find out more about the profession, to meet staff, students and practitioners, and even to be interviewed for a place to study the subject at UEA, under a special fast-track application process."
With around 13,000 students, the UAE is located in 320 acres of parkland two miles from the centre of Norwich.
