New occupational therapy service to launch

A number of people with occupational therapy jobs in Portsmouth are to be involved in a project to help workers in the area.
According to reports in the Portsmouth News, a ceremony it to take place tomorrow (February 12th) to mark the official start of work on a new centre designed to increase the physical and mental wellbeing of local employees.
The facility is to open next year and has been described as a "one stop shop" which will offer advice and support to more than 7,500 workers.
Staff at the centre will advise of a range of issues, including ill health prevention, rehabilitation and counselling.
David Eccles, Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust director of workforce and human resources, commented: "The Wellness Centre will be a fantastic opportunity to improve the wellbeing of staff."
The trust provides services across a number of sites, including the Queen Alexandra Hospital, St Mary's Hospital and the Royal Hospital Haslar.
