Occupational therapist involved in new scheme
Monday 12th January 2009
An occupational therapist is among those involved in a scheme designed to help medical workers at Derbyshire Royal Infirmary move to new premises.
Emma Hague, who works in the health centre's occupational therapy department, described the initiative as helpful, the Derby Evening Telegraph reports.
Workers at the hospital - which is run by the Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - are all moving to the new Derby City General Hospital.
In a bid to make the process of transition easier, a shadowing scheme has been launched under which staff are being invited to follow members of other departments who have already begun moving over to the new site.
Ms Hague said: "This has helped us think exactly what our needs are for when we move."
With an annual budget of £334 million, Derby Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust employs around 7,000 staff members and serves a population of over 600,000 in the local area.
