New medical jobs to be created

Monday 18th August 2008

A number of new positions are to be created in the health industry in Shropshire, those seeking UK medical jobs may be interested to hear.

Premier Medical - a Ludlow-based firm with around 120 staff members - is looking to create 40 new positions in the country by the end of 2008, the Shropshire Star reports.

In addition, the business is seeking to expand its workforce by 100 by 2012.

Commenting on the developments, Jason Powell for Premier Medical said: "The business is looking to expand the number of staff in [its Ludlow] office by 30 per cent this year to 150."

Meanwhile, the recent opening of a new mental health unit called the Bretton Centre in the West Yorkshire town of Wakefield has led to the creation of a range of medical positions, including dietician jobs, occupational therapy and physiotherapy jobs, the Huddersfield Examiner reported.
