Band 6 Locum Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist - East London
JustOT are currently recruiting for an experienced Band 6 Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist to join a busy community mental health team.
The Role
You will provide specialist Occupational Therapy input to a keyworked caseload of clients, working both independently and as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Undertaking specialist OT assessments and interventions for clients with complex mental health needs.
- Delivering both 1:1 and group interventions.
- Supporting junior staff and contributing to their professional development.
- Attending and actively contributing to MDT meetings.
- Participating in the duty rota and supporting unplanned contacts.
- Working collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to provide high-quality, person-centred care.
- Managing your own caseload and prioritising workload effectively.
Requirements
- HCPC registration.
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification.
- Previous experience working within community mental health services.
- Strong clinical assessment and intervention skills.
- Experience supporting junior staff is desirable.
- Excellent communication and MDT working skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a complex caseload.
