Occupational Therapist, Children with Disabilities Team
We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our Children with Disabilities Team at Wokingham Borough Council.
This role is to cover maternity leave for a period of 7 months Key Responsibilities:
To provide comprehensive assessments and recommendations for equipment such as seating, bathing, specialist bed and moving and handling.
Conduct assessments and recommend minor and major adaptation work.
Review existing care packages and ensure the safe and appropriate provision of care to meet the child's needs effectively.
Complete housing needs reports and liaise with the housing team to assess and review properties for children and families on medical grounds.
Manage a personal caseload and provide personalised recommendations based on individual assessments.
Support joint working between Social Workers, school colleagues, short break staff and NHS colleagues to ensure effective multidisciplinary practice
Flexible working, working from home


Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
