JustOT are looking to recruit a Occupational Therapy Team manager - Community Equipment Service for a locum position with our client in Lancashire.

The pay for this position is £50.14 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

We are looking for a Occupational Therapy Team Manager to join our Paediatric Community Equipment Service

To provide clinical leadership and expertise across Community Equipment Services (CES) whilst being part of the developing work across Social Care and Health to improve the overall provision of equipment
Administrative
1. Work effectively as a member of the multidisciplinary team to influence service developments and to support the planning and achievement of local objectives.
2. Ensure effective management of data collection in relation to community equipment provision.
3. Act as single point of contact for queries related to paediatric community equipment provision within Lancashire.
Managerial
1. Implement defined equipment provision procedures for the service as delegated by the Contract Manager & Commissioners.
2. Be responsible for interpreting and implementing clinical guidelines, policies, and procedures.
3. Work in conjunction with equipment prescribers across Lancashire to promote community equipment provision.
Clinical
1. Provide expertise and advice to guide provision of equipment from the CES, including clinical scrutiny and challenge to requests for specialist equipment that fall outside the standard scope of equipment provision.
2. Understand the scope of current equipment provision to meet identified need, providing rationale and clinical expertise in the introduction or cessation of equipment available to prescribers.
3. Provide detailed feedback and advice to clinical staff/service leads based on the findings of governance data sources (e.g., inspections, investigations, equipment data).
4. Conduct audits and provide advice and support and lead on equipment reviews to increase audit activity across the prescribing community.
5. Develop and deliver training packages to support prescribers of equipment
6. Provide comprehensive advice regarding equipment provision

Working with CES Providers, Prescribers & Partners
1. Lead on reviewing orders for specialist equipment, ensuring a sound, graded, and cost-effective approach
2.To agree programme of work to bring under control ("gatekeep") expenditure

3.To review the current catalogue of community equipment with CES providers and identify
alternatives that are more cost-effective.

4.To review recycled specialist equipment and develop criteria & guidance to improve usage

5.To develop relationships with the Residential and Nursing Care Market to ensure that a
coordinated approach is taken to equipment provision.

6.To work closely with the CES providers and Depot Manager and work in partnership
to agree service developments/changes.

Communication and Liaison
1. Liaise with the Contract Manager and Commissioners for CES to ensure service development is in line with the statutory obligations, national policy, and best practice.
2. Work collaboratively and in partnership with prescribers of equipment and public forums across other countywide agencies as required.
3. Ensure that any changes and service developments are communicated across the prescriber footprint.
4. Interpret and clearly communicate complex information to a wide variety of professions and staff grades. This can include sensitive and performance related data.
Analysis and Judgement
1. Review and communicate quality data, identifying risks/concerns/early warning signs when apparent.
2. Analyse and interpret audit data and produce/present comprehensive reports for the Contract review meetings/TCES Board.
Planning and Organisation
1. Ensure that projects are planned and managed so that agreed timescales are met.
2. Organise and attend events as relevant within the Local Authority and ICB, to help raise the profile of the CES.
3. Maintain an in-depth knowledge of community equipment provision and contribute to wider CES initiatives

Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
