JustOT are looking to recruit a band 6 CAMHS Practitioner Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in Lancashire.

The pay for this position is £20- £23 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an on going duration.

Monday - Friday 9-5 37.5 hours per week

Band 6 Wanted a social worker or mental health worker who has considerable experience of working with children and young people in a statutory position and with safeguarding experience.

Experience with MASH - Multi-agency assessment hubs, triage, initial assessment processes, duty work and managing thresholds consistently in line with the organizations policies and the ability to recommend alternative community services or to escalate when needed to MDT or senior management.

Experience at risk management, planning and multi-agency risk planning and documenting these plans.

The ability to speak to referrers and family's when reviewing information and sources the information needed around risk and need and correctly manage the referral to the right service or follow discharge processes if not and work autonomously with links in to senior management.

To hold a small caseload and see a small amount of young people from the referrals / triage process if risk is deemed as urgent as triaging to make an assessment of need/ risk and complete the appropriate paperwork as expected and upload to the IT system.

To ensure that all young people have a clear plan and direction as to CAMHS involvement if needed, linking into the clinical meetings and MDTs as appropriate and liaising with and referring to relevant agencies as appropriate.

To take an active role in the holistic assessment and treatment of young people who present to the service, with mental health problems and especially those that are at risk of, or have attempted deliberate self-harm.

Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
