JustOT are looking to recruit a band 5/6 Community Mental Health Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in London.

The pay for this position is £17-£24 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.

Job Description:
- Proficient in the provision of standardised and non-standardised OT assessment (Including use of outcome measures), interventions guided by the Model of Human Occupation theory in line with the OT pathway within an acute mental health setting for adults.

- Provision of OT focused home visit assessments where identified to support safe discharge planning.

- Ability to allocate cases appropriately based on identified needs, complexities and skill level required.

- Formal and informal supervision of OT staff where required and demonstration of leadership qualities working closely alongside the other Senior OT's and Lead OT.

- Demonstrates ability to delegate tasks appropriately.

- Involvement in service development where appropriate.

- Act as a positive role-model for other staff.

- Resolution focused both within clinical work and from a leadership perspective.

- Ability to prioritise own caseload effectively to support occupational needs of service users to be addressed effectively and support safe discharge planning.

- Ability to assess for moving and handling needs where appropriate and provision of minor aids - aware of responsibility to refer to relevant professionals where needs are outside of the scope of own practice.

-Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the impact of acute mental health needs on occupational performance and engagement - utilising a recovery focused approach.

Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
