JustOT are looking to recruit a Senior Independent Living Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Project Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in Berkshire.
The pay for this position is £40 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
We are looking for a Senior OT to join our Independent Living Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Project for 12 months.
For the past year the Council has been undertaking a research project called the Independent Living Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Project. We have just been given a financial boost to expand and extend the project and we'd like you to join the journey!
Over the summer the project team applied to the Department of Health for Digitising Social Care Funding and we were successful against over 100 other organisations to become one of only four organisations in the UK to receive a share of the technology funding
The project findings will not only feed into service development for Reading but also explore the potential of digital systems to create a sustainable, future-proof operating model for all local authorities around the country.
As a Senior OT for this project you will be installing and advising service users about different technology which is available.
The duties of the role will include:
* Work as part of the project group to ensure targets and timelines are met
* Promote the project within Reading Borough Council Adult Social Care teams
* Line manage, guide and motivate a small team of practitioners such as an OT and Social Care Co-ordinator to achieve the project aims
* Support the team of practitioners to engage with users, review, assess and report on the impact of the TEC on individuals, their circle of support and Reading Adult Social Care
* Engage with services users, adult social care teams and install the available Technology Enabled Care (TEC) systems (all training will be given)
* Feed into the project evaluation
You will need to be within commuting distance of the council as you will be required to go out and complete face to face assessments.
Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
