JustOT are looking to recruit a band 6 Community Occupational Therapist for a locum position with our client in London.
The pay for this position is £20-£24 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Responsibilities:
To undertake the assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge of service users, with the understanding that there should be communication with senior clinicians and OTs if concerns arise.
To treat service users in their own homes and other community settings, assisting and empowering service users towards independence where appropriate.
To assist, in conjunction with the senior clinician/ team lead, in the review and evaluation of the effectiveness of Occupational Therapy care and practice provided.
To work as part of a team with other therapists, nurses, social workers, and any other members of the MDT.
To be conversant and comply with the organisation policies and clinical guidelines
To be responsible for providing accurate records of information required by the Trust for audit purposes Skills: The post holder will work with the lead Occupational therapist and be part of the multi- disciplinary health and social care team. The post holder will have the opportunity to be involved in a wider range of clinical work directly and in directly with service users and their families and carers, focusing on skills development, support needs, behaviours of concern, sensory processing and any other related areas, that enable the person with a learning disability to increase their independence and quality of life The role will require working with wider services including social care teams, education, day centres, care agencies, voluntary sector and other organisations as required.
The post holder will also be able to develop professional skills in relation to provide clinical supervision and line management to junior and unqualified staff, being involved in service development, promoting good practice and the opportunity for CPD.
Working Pattern: Fulltime - Monday - Fridays 9am-5pm OR Part-time: Minimum 3 days, same office hours.
Successful candidates must hold a degree in occupational therapy and be HCPC registered.
