The location will be Central Lancashire. Currently all staff are working remotely or can touch down at Mill 14 Lancaster Officers.

Looking for an Senior Occupational Therapist to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking Reablement therapy service contributing to a wide range of service areas including Reablement, Equipment and Adaptations and Moving and Handling. About our team: We are a team within Adult Social Care at Lancashire County Council comprising of Senior Social Workers, Social Care Support Officers and Senior Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapists and we are based in Preston. The team focuses on working closely with our Reablement provider, other Lancashire County Council teams CATCH/ICAT as well as collaborative working with our local Community Health & Social Care partners to prevent hospital admission and promote independence. The role As a Senior Occupational Therapist you will be able to undertake supervision and line management of junior staff whilst balancing the demands of a complex caseload. You will also be required to operate at a high level of autonomy and decision making, as well as supporting the Reablement Team Manager to develop the service. In this role you will play a vital role promoting independence through the use of SMART goals, equipment and adaptations in order to maximise independence, improve quality of life for service users and informal carers, and reduce to Single Handed Care, prevent or delay the need for formal or residential care. What we're looking for We are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Occupational Therapists who can manage a varied complex caseload, utilising clinical reasoning skills knowledge of SMART goals, Single Handed Care approaches, specialist equipment, adaptations, and including moving and handling. We are also looking for someone with a good knowledge of occupational therapy processes to analyse referral information, triage in our morning 'huddles' allocate new referrals to the service and lead training sessions to support the development of staff. You will need to be flexible and adaptable in a constantly changing environment as well as having a commitment to improve the lives of our service users through creative, evidence based practice. Pay Rate: £31.15 per hour
