JustOT are recruiting for an experienced, HCPC registered, Wheelchair Occupational Therapist to work with our well-respected client based in Wakefield.

The successful candidate will have experience in
* Appropriate seating assessments, including specialist seating, pressure mapping and prescribing an appropriate equipment
* Provide wheelchairs and special seating to a broad range of people [adults and children] including those with complex disabilities
* Prescribing manual/powered wheelchairs and supportive equipment
* Working in partnership with professionals in health, social care, education and charities to determine equipment suited to multiple needs
* Working with specialist providers and technicians
* Undertaking triage to establish clinical needs and prioritising work We are looking for
* Knowledge of NHS Wheelchair Services
* A broad knowledge of tissue viability of pressure care intervention
* A broad knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical conditions and their implication on mobility and posture
* A knowledge of posture and positioning in the relevant pathologies and implication for seating
* A good knowledge of biomechanics
* Should be a car driver and a car owner

Pay Rate: £35.00 ph
Full time/ Part time flexible
