JustOT are looking to recruit an experienced Band 6 Community Rehab Occupational Therapist on behalf of our popular client based in London.

*Mondays to Fridays
*Start Date: ASAP

Requirements:
-Previous community experience
-Car driver and access to own car for work
Role specification:
-Rolling contract to cover established vacancies
-37.5 hours week , 8:30-4:30
-Opportunity for some weekend shifts and to support team hours of 8-8 (i.e. could potentially work later in day 12-8 being latest shift)
-Community based rehab.
-Caseload consists of patients on early support d/c from hospital; commonly encountered conditions include falls, # NOF, rehab post deconditioning from acute, rehab post infection such as UTI, LRTI, COPD management, PD management
-Joint MDT approach - large team consisting of nursing, RA, OT and PT

Experience, Skills and Other Requirements

Essential experience in manual handling e.g. mobile and gantry hoists
Experience of community rehabilitation/bedded rehabilitation
Undertake all aspects of clinical duties as an autonomous practitioner including assessing and treating complex patients.
To provide a high standard occupational therapy service to patients in TADD beds (Interim bedded unit for patients discharged from hospital). These are essentially the patients that have had Covid and will need a short period of rehabilitation before getting discharged.
To work closely with social services, community services, patients and their carers, other disciplines and services to identify and realise desired and achievable goals, and optimise wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
