My Private client is looking for a band 7 Occupational Therapist to work in their multidisciplinary team with in a college.
Occupational therapist services is to support students to develop their independence skills or adapt their environment, in order to ensure access to the curriculum and to enable them
on leaving the collage, to live independent and balanced lives as valued members of their local communities.

This also incudes supporting students and staff with curriculum and liaison with families, carers and appropriate external agencies.


*To work independently as part of the multidisciplinary team (MDT) delivering a high quality OT Service to Students with highly specialist needs.
*Undertake assessments of new and existing Students, devise, implement, evaluate and review treatment plans/programmes under the supervision of Head of Therapy.
*To provide training and advice to students, families and staff members seeking opinion from other professionals to inform analysis and reasoning.
*To be accountable for own professional actions, working within Professional Codes of Conduct and professional guidelines.
*To be accountable for own professional actions, working within Professional Codes of Conduct and professional guidelines.
*To assess the moving & handling requirements of students with complex needs including those with profound physical and learning disabilities, ASD and sensory modulation difficulties
*To assess functional skills of students within the college to a high standard in areas such as personal care, domestic skills, environmental issues or IT. Using the information develop goals, liaise, train staff and evaluate.
*Under the supervision of the Therapy Lead to demonstrate and teach other staff OT recommendations and appropriate use of equipment and give advice.

Person specification required:

*Occupational Therapy Degree
*HCPC registration
*Desirable Registered member of the British Association of Occupational Therapist
*Full drivers licence and willingness and ability to drive college mini - buses/cars
