Our client is seeking an Occupational Therapist with post-graduate training in Sensory Integration to join their growing team.
The position is based at their new studio in West Sussex which comprises staff office and kitchen, 2 specialist sensory integration rooms (and a 3rd in development), family/meeting room and messy play kitchen.
Our client provides therapy for clients aged 0-16. A high proportion of their families have a child with a sensory processing difficulties, ASD, ADHD, PDA, Genetic Disorders, Down Syndrome, Dyspraxia/DCD, Cerebral Palsy or Early Developmental Trauma. Children do not require a diagnosis to receive support from their team, support is based on need.
Staff will be expected to see children with a range of needs though will also be supported to pursue areas of interest and develop personal and team projects.

Essential Criteria:
*Qualified Occupational Therapist;
*Current Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC);
*Have completed or are due to complete a post Graduate Certificate in Sensory Integration (SIE Modules 1-3) or ASIWise Modules 1-4 (ICEASI Level 2) or equivalent.
*Have at least 2 years prior experience working as a Paediatric Occupational Therapist
*Experience in preparing bespoke therapy programmes (e.g. skills-based programmes or sensory diets);
*Comprehensive knowledge of common childhood developmental disorders;
*Driver (there are no public transport links to the office and community visits will be an essential part of the role)
*Valid DBS
Desirable Criteria:
*Experience working with children who have experienced with developmental trauma and any post graduate training to become a trauma informed therapist.
*Experience providing staff training or parent workshops;
*Experience working with children with Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and genetic disorders.
The role is initially advertised as part time and would suit someone who would like part-time hours with potential scope to increase their hour's over a period of time.
Hours of work are not currently set but would fall between the hours of 8.30am and 6.30pm Monday to Friday and between 8.30am and 4.30pm on a Saturday (Saturday working is desirable, not essential).
