Our client in Greater London is looking for Occupational Therapists to work in the Community
Band 6/7 Community OT
Salary approx £33k-£45k DOE
Our client needs a Community OTs who will be working within the Kingston-Upon-Thames Area. You will be working within the hospital setting to identify suitable patients for their three pathways:
Discharge to Assess - Supporting patients being discharged to recover within their own homes
Enablement Service from discharge from Hospital
You will work with their "Assessors" and "Personal Nursing Assistant" who will provide the care and will be directed by the OT to support the enable element.
Our client needs to cover 7 days a week for discharge, so they would be interested in part and full applications. The posts are available now. They do not operate under Agenda for Change, but the salary is roughly between a Band 6 and 7. In addition to the basic salary you will receive a £2,500 West London Allowance. They really want something who has previously had community experience.
The post holder will be responsible for providing complex multi-factorial occupational therapy clinical assessments, treatment and advice to patients in the community who have a variety of general presentations such as orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, respiratory, falls, amputee as part of the assessment and rehabilitation element of the Discharge to Assess Service.
The post holder will work without direct supervision as a lone worker in the community assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying individualised treatment programmes in the patient's own homes. The post holder will work as a team member with the wider team collaborating with colleagues to ensure person-centred care is met and promoting quality of life.
You will be required -
*To keep up-to-date with the latest care and treatment methods within the clinical fields that the organisation is registered to deliver
*To complete client centred, occupational focused assessments and deliver best practice interventions
*To provide tutorial support for staff as required
*To assist staff in the production of bespoke, person-centred support programmes for patients within scope of practice
