JustOT is recruiting for a band 6 Neuro Occupational Therapist to work in a home based in Streatham South London. The home has 8 beds and caters for adults between the ages of 18-65 years with physical disabilities and neurological conditions. You will be a confident OT in the area of splinting and comfortable as the lead OT part of the MDT team.

The home is an independent charity founded in 1861 and granted a Royal Charter in 1894. For over 150 years, The Home has cared for adults with severe disabilities and complex medical conditions supporting them through specialised nursing and social care.
PURPOSE OF POSITION
*Take the lead role in the delivery of occupational therapy
*To help develop a therapy team for a three year research Project
*To work with the Lead Therapist, Director of Care and Research team in identifying clients for and supporting clients through the pilot study
*To promote an enablement culture and approach to care within the British home.
*Deliver complex service activities and manage caseloads to ensure intended outcomes are delivered within agreed service standards.
*Responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, treatment and evaluation for all patients screened for referral, including those with complex and highly complex presentation, in a timely manner. Working closely with the multidisciplinary team as part of the team, in the planning and carrying out of treatment.
*Attend and participate in case conferences and ward meetings appropriate to the clinical setting.
*Prioritise day-to-day management of own caseload, delegating activities to the therapists as appropriate.
To qualify for this position, you must have a bachelor in occupational therapy, be currently registered with the HCPC, and have a desire treat neuro patients.
