I have available a Band 6 Occupational Therapy Older Adults Mental Health role based in Preston.

Start: ASAP
Hours: Full Time
Salary: £22 - £24
Duration: Ongoing

30 hrs per week
8am to 8pm 7 days a week, shifts are either 8am -4pm or 12 - 8pm and some weekend working is necessary (working usually 1 weekend in four).

Older Adults community mental health team that provides support for patients with acute mental health difficulties, which might be caused by either functional illnesses, cognitive difficulties or a combination of both. Their presentation is often complex and high risks to their safety and well-being are frequently identified.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the potential needs of this patient group and identify how OT assessments and interventions can be effectively utilised. Applicants should have either Older Adults or Adult mental health experience, have an up to date knowledge of CPA, MHA, MCA , Safeguarding and previous community experience would be desirable.
