JustOT have an exciting opportunity for a healthcare professional to be a Health Educator for government lead programme on diabetes prevention based in different cities around the UK.

This is an exciting and challenging role for a healthcare professional, you will use your professional knowledge and skills to offer advice and guidance to educate communities regarding the prevention of diabetes.

We have vacancies in the following areas -
South East (Kent, Surrey, Sussex)
Medway (Kent)
Hampshire and Isle of White
Bradford (North)
Durham (NW)
Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire
Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes
Cheshire and Merseyside

Primary responsibilities
*Supporting participants to achieve improved health outcomes by adopting a coaching approach
*Delivering group-based education and awareness sessions (typically 90 minutes to up to 15 participants)
*Delivering brief one-to-one basic health assessments, including pinprick blood testing and recording height & weight
*Working effectively with the Health Coordinator and Regional Manager to ensure seamless customer experience and the highest quality delivery of Health programmes
*Completing documentation in a timely and accurate manner

To be considered for this role you must have -
Previous experience of working with groups (paid or voluntary)
Some knowledge or awareness of diabetes
Delivered customer service excellence and high performance in past and current roles
Experience of successfully engaging with Participants, Patients or Service Users
Proactive, self-motivated and able to work for long periods of time without supervision
Exceptional training, educational skills and presentational skills
Exceptional interpersonal and written & verbal communication skills
Proactive team player, demonstrates respect and values the contribution of others
Ability to accept, give and build on feedback for personal development
Strong self-evaluation skills
Strong influencing and relationship management skills
Excellent level of literacy and numeracy
Good IT Skills, including MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook
Able to work and travel across different areas as required
