JustOT is working on an exciting Mental Health opportunity in Maidenhead. Our client has an independent unit which provides services for paediatric patients detained under the mental health act.

Our client has a purpose-built 29 bed psychiatric intensive care service (PICU) for patients with severe mental Illness who require very specialist and intensive treatment. The 20 bed eating disorders service is housed separately in the original Manor House. They work closely with the young person's local services to develop a seamless and successful transition to on-going support and recovery in the community following inpatient treatment, and when appropriate are able to continue inpatient treatment for up to a year beyond the 18th birthday to facilitate this transition.

Job Description:

To participate in the provision of high therapeutic activities, using a wide range of approaches to suit the patients varying needs
To encourage independence and personal choice and help provide an environment which is conductive to patients with varied and complex needs
Be able to provide evidence based practice and that is outcome focused
Work collaboratively with a MDT (including cross functionality) through effective leadership and motivational skills
To take an active role in your own personal and professional development.
Ensure that you provide evidence-based practice and are outcome focussed
Continually strive for clinical excellence whilst retaining integrity, technical skill and competence

The successful will need to have:

Have a minimum BSc or recognised postgraduate diploma in Occupational Therapy.
Hold current HCPC registration
Be able to work autonomously and within a MDT.
Have a person centred ethos, showing empathy and a desire to make a difference
Be able to demonstrate initiative and creativity
Be flexible and adaptable, well organised and able to manage time and workload effectively in line with the needs of the service
Have a desire to expand your professional development and support organisational change
Have a legal right to work in the UK
