JustOT are recruiting for an experienced band 6 occupational therapist to work within a community integrated care team based in Woking Surrey. This role is for a proven occupational therapist to provide a professional service to young adults, their families and carers living in Surrey in line with the requirements of the Care Act. The occupational therapy service is regarded as a key provision within the Adult Social Care department and are an essential part of the wider workforce.
Young Adults Occupational Therapist (OT) Job Woking
£30,000 - £33,365 per annum
Fulltime 36 hours a week.
This role is for an occupational therapist to work in adult social care service, these teams provide social work, occupational therapy and social care services to the community. You will be required, and able, to work flexibly; you will be supported to do this with mobile IT equipment and hot desk facilities. Surrey has both urban and rural areas and occupational therapists will be expected to have a valid driving licence to drive in the UK and access to a vehicle. Reasonable adjustments will be made for occupational therapists that have a disability to enable them to fulfil the requirements of the job. Professional supervision will be provided
As an Occupational Therapist you will be given the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals with differing needs. The individuals may experience learning disability, physical or sensory impairment, mental health or be an older person. You will be part of a multi skilled team which includes; Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Assistant Social Care Practitioners and Reablement Personnel. As a team you will provide support to vulnerable adults and their carers in a community based setting.
To qualify for this role you must have:
- a degree in Occupational therapy.
- registration with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
- access to a vehicle which will allow you to travel as required.
- experience of working in a social care or community focussed multi-disciplinary
setting that provides care, support and advice to meet peoples social care needs.
