JustOT are recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist who is looking to work Birmingham.

Position: Social services
Start Date: 21/05/2018
Duration: 4 weeks

The OT will provide services at Enhanced Assessment Bed (EAB) units based across the Birmingham & West Midlands Area.

EAB stay is for a maximum period of 4 weeks post hospital discharge.

This will reduce ongoing care needs, and discharging to an appropriate long term destination.

The successful candidate will provide thorough assessment to identify enablement potential, create enablement programmes to be implemented in partnership with carers, work closely with the care homes, social workers and families/carers to achieve safe and timely discharge, attend weekly MDT meetings, carry out pre-discharge site visits in the community to identify any necessary aids and adaptations.

The successful candidate needs to be happy to work flexibly and independently, but within a supportive team that consists mostly of locums.

The candidate will be required to travel to different locations within their working day.
