Senior Occupational Therapist Loughborough
Full Time (37.5 hours per week)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 (Negotiable dependant on experience)
Our client has 'a specialist remit' coupled with an experienced and motivated MDT, provides up to 38 placements with tailor-made rehabilitation packages for people with Neurological Diseases, Acquired Brain Injury or Terminal Illness.
To take full responsibility for the Occupational Therapy Team outcomes within 2 Specialist Unit; with the focus on setting the highest standards with regard to promotion of independence within this patient group. To participate with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in providing assessment and intervention; encompassing cognitive, physical, psychological, environmental, perceptual and social rehabilitation. To be involved with training and development of support/rehab workers.
Duties will include:
*To plan, develop and oversee individual service user programmes in line with assessment processes.
*To plan, develop and oversee group activities for patients in line with assessment processes.
*To record all measurable outcomes in a regular and concise manner.
*To liaise with the Multi-Disciplinary Team both in-house (and externally if so directed).
*To participate in review processes with statutory agencies i.e. CPAS/Reviews/etc.
*To participate in units training requirements in line with current legislative processes.
*To participate in discharge planning processes (including home visits) if necessary.
*To promote units development in line with both organisational expansion programmes and statutory requirements.
*To promote the aims and principles of rehabilitation at all times.
*To assist with development and auditing of Occupational Therapy services
*Therapists at trust and PCT's as necessary.
*To support and mentor all students on placement including student nurses, OT's, adaptation nurses, physiotherapists and social workers.
The successful candidate will have:
*hold a Diploma or Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC Registered
*Have 3+ years' experience in neuro-rehab
*Team Leadership skills
*be a good team player and communicator at all levels.

*be prepared to take part in constructive, rewarding supervision and team support.
