Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, experienced Occupational Therapist to join our friendly and dynamic Medical Occupational Therapy team at their hospital.
You will gain clinical experience across the medical wards including in the fields of neurology, oncology, respiratory, gastroenterology, endocrinology and cardiology. You will have the opportunity to support patients with complex care needs and facilitate discharges. There will also be the opportunity to be involved in service development with the support of the Medical team, Band 7 and Band 6 staff and the Occupational Therapists in the Care of the Elderly team, Frailty Unit and Delirium Recovery Pathway. The medical team is integrated with Medical Physiotherapy colleagues and these strong links provide a very welcoming and supportive environment.
Our client offers well-established supervision and appraisal processes and excellent internal and external training opportunities to enable you to develop your clinical and non-clinical skills.
This position is perfect for you if you're enthusiastic and passionate about working with patients with complex needs to help them achieve their goals. Supporting junior staff and developing your leadership skills. We have strong links with universities and provide opportunities for student placement and educator roles.
Our client is an acute district general hospital which is always aiming to improve its services to better meet patients' needs. As a therapy department we are keen to support and develop our staff.
The department offers a 7-day working service and this post would be included in that rota (approx. frequency of 1:6 weekends) with rest days in the following week. This is underpinned by a competency framework.
The place of work is an easy commute from the local rail station and has excellent links into the nearest city, which is London.
