Occupational Therapist Band 5 Bromley
Full Time (37.5 hrs per week, Term Time only)
Salary: £22,800 - £26,000

Job Summary and Duties
This is a great opportunity for a recently qualified Occupational Therapist to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with professional supervision from a senior practitioner, gaining specialist experience working with ASC and learning difficulties in a day school setting.
You will provide an occupational therapy service to children with autism and learning difficulties, undertaking assessments of students with diverse presentations to identify their individual sensory, physical, social and environmental needs. In addition, you will support the development and delivery of individualised intervention programmes to help learning and to enable meaningful engagement in activities, social interaction and relationships.
Offered on a permanent, full time basis working 37.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year) this role would suit a recently qualified Occupational Therapist, with some work experience of ASD in a childcare setting.
In brief, your role will involve:
*Provide accurate prognoses and recommend best course of intervention, developing comprehensive transition
*Formulate and deliver on individual on Occupational Therapy intervention programmes, using your knowledge of evidence based practice and intervention options and using clinical assessment, reasoning and intervention skills to include motor sensory cognitive/perceptual assessments
*Evaluate client progress, reassess and alter intervention programmes as required
The ideal candidate will have:
*Experience of working with children and/or ASD, although not essential
*Specialist knowledge of OT assessments and interventions
*Good communication including relationship, analytical and judgement skills
