JustOT have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join a successful multidisciplinary team in a specialist neurological centre in Lincoln. You will be a core member of the inter-disciplinary team in an independent, transitional neuro rehabilitation unit to provide an occupational therapy service to vulnerable adults who have diverse and complex needs (Traumatic Brain Injury, Minimally Conscious State, Stroke, Progressive Neurological diseases). This involves regular and intensive work with clients with physical and cognitive difficulties, liaising with families and outside agencies, and training unit staff.

Core Responsibilities:
*To use an extensive range of verbal and non-verbal communication skills to engage effectively with complex clients and their carers to gain consent and active participation by developing a therapeutic relationship based on trust and negotiation and negotiation within a legal framework with clients who lack capacity to consent.
*To use highly specialist skills to interpret and analyse complex clinical, social and environmental factors to support accurate diagnosis and prognosis in a wide range of complex conditions, recommend the best course of intervention, to develop and review comprehensive Occupational Therapy treatment plans.
*To negotiate with client/carer to identify and formulate client centred specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely (SMART) goals using the specialist assessment information.
*To plan, implement and review client centred individual and/or group interventions, using meaningful graded activity based on sound knowledge of evidenced based practice, advanced clinical reasoning, and extensive knowledge of Occupational Therapy models of practice, and highly specialised co-ordination, dexterity, observation and communication skills.
