JustOT have a fantastic opportunity for a Band 5 OT to work for an acute hospital in Stevenage Hertfordshire. The hospital provides Outpatient services at the Treatment Centre, your caseload will be varied between in - patient ward settings, intermediate care settings and in the patient's own home.

Your job purpose will be -
*You will provide assessment and treatment for patients with complex needs and provide expert advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers, relatives and other non-professionals.

*You will participate in the Band 5 Rotation which involves working across Acute and Community in a range of in patient ward settings, intermediate care settings and in the patient's own home.

*You will assist service delivery and responsiveness by working flexibly. This may include flexible working patterns with early and late shifts, or 7 day working on a rota basis.

Your duties will include -
*To participate in the Band 5 Rotation This will provide a broad base for both personal, clinical and professional development and ensure that the required clinical competencies are met.
*To assess and treat own caseload of patients and maintain own records as an autonomous practitioner with access to a senior member of staff for advice and support on a daily basis.
*To communicate with relevant medical and nursing staff, social workers, and other health care professionals, patients, relatives and carers who may be in direct contact with you in regard to patient care.
*To actively participate in Continuous Professional Development and departmental educational and training activities.
*To carry out accompanied home visits or unaccompanied access home visits, to assess the patient/client's functioning in their own environment, and communicate with relatives and carers regarding further care and/or treatment at home.

To be considered for this role you must have -
*Bachelor / diploma in Occupational therapy
*Full HCPC registration
*A desire to work in rotational role that is both inpatient an community settings
